Offline Account Opening with Zerodha

Before opening Zerodha account offline, you should be aware of the charges which is not as same as that of online account opening fees.

 Trading and Demat account – Rs 400/-

 Trading, Demat and Commodity account – Rs 600/-

For offline account opening you need to call Zerodha at 080-4719 2020 / 965-089-7613.

A ticket will be raised and a sales manager will be assigned to you for further assistance, who will then email across the account opening forms to you for the requisite segment. Alternatively the application forms can be downloaded from their website through the link .

Print the application forms, fill up the details and sign it. At any point in time, if any assistance is required, then you can get a clarity by either calling the assigned Sales Manager or their help line number. Once the form is filled up and duly signed, you can either send it over to the below address or get it picked up from your location as per your convenience.

For the scheduled pickup meeting, Zerodha representative will get in touch with you and instruct you to keep all the necessary documents ready. As per the requirement, the representative would take all necessary signatures and self-attested documents, in order to complete the account opening procedure.

Make sure you fill up Power of Attorney, Electronic Contract Note and Nomination form along with the Application form. Once the documents along with the application form reaches Zerodha, it takes around 2 – 3 days to activate your new Zerodha account.

How to Open Zerodha Account Online

Opening online account with Zerodha is very simple and doesn’t take more than 15 minutes.

However, you need to have a DigiLocker account which is Aadhaar verified.

For newbies, DigiLocker is an application designed by the ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India, where important documents can be securely stored in the cloud.

Step1:-In order to open a Zerodha account online, visit their account opening URL click here  and provide your 10 digit mobile number and proceed for signing-up. Instant OTP will be generated and send to your mobile number for verification.

Step 2 You will be asked to fill up your full name along with email id. An OTP will now be send to this email id for verification. In fact this mobile number & email id will be the means of getting various Zerodha notifications in future.

Step 3  You have to provide your PAN and DOB. Next you have to make the payment either through Netbanking or Debit/Credit Card or UPI.

After completion of payment, you will be asked to access DigiLocker and link it with Zerodha account that got just created. Next you will be asked to put in Aadhaar details and bank details in form of account number, IFSC and bank name.

Step 4 Next step is to finish off with IPV (In person verification) over webcam which needs to be carried out as per instruction. Now it’s time to upload scanned copy of bank account proof, PAN, current signature and income proof (for F&O, currency and commodity).

Step 5 Click on eSign Equity button and proceed accordingly. Once the application sign up is done, Download the Demat Power of Attorney (POA) form, fill it up and courier it to their Bangalore address (Which is not required after June 2020).

As soon as you get Client ID and password, you can start trading on Zerodha and enjoy their super-fast platform. Sending across the POA & nomination form is important so do not forget it at any cost.
